Day Services
Day Services offers a staff to participant ratio of 1:8. Participants in this program move from activity to activity working with instructors in classes of their choice. This program is intended for persons who are able to use the restroom and feed themselves independently or with minimal assistance.
Special Needs offers a staff to participant ratio of 1:3. This program is designed for people who have greater personal care needs or require a constant level of supervision. Participants are integrated with staff support into Day Service Classes. People attending this program may have behavioral concerns but cannot pose a threat to themselves or others.
Day Services also offers an Intensive Work Group for those who do not meet the criteria for the Packaging Program but wish to work in Packaging. Day Service staff provide extra supervision and training so people can work within the Packaging Department.
Activities included in these services are:
- Class activities - e.g. simple woodworking, sewing, puppetry
- Community outings and vacations
- Paid work
- Leisure skills
- Life skills - e.g. cooking, grooming, personal safety
- Art therapy
